***Full time, Monday – Friday, Day shift**
- Answerstelephone inquiries and responds to citizen inquiries related to the servicesthey wish to apply for or are currently receiving
- Acceptstelephonic applications for public assistance programs
- Enters applications as a priority into the Rapid Data Entry (RDE) within the VACMS only
- Screensapplicants to determine if existing case exists or application is pending
- Assistsother Customer Service Representatives
- Usesmultiple complex computer systems to research, validate, update, and maintaincase information
- Providesinformation to callers, including rights and responsibilities
- Maintainsaccurate files, records, and reports to document communication, compliance, andresolution of issue
- Adheres toall safety and security procedures
- Practicestimely and regular attendance
- One yearminimum of data entry experience or other related fields
- Must be ableto type 50 WPM minimum
- Customerservice experience preferably in a call center environment
- Must becomfortable with heavy computer usage with the ability to multitask while usingmultiple computer screens, programs, and interfaces while on the telephone
- Ability tohandle multiple processes and maintain courteous and professional manner duringcalls
- Ability todevelop, interpret, and implement policies and procedures
- Excellentorganizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability toexcel in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
- Ability towork as a team member as well as independently
